FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please read through my Clearance list and Pre-care +Aftercare under Client Info. If you are all cleared to receive your desired service, the following pre-care and aftercare information will help decide when is best to schedule your appointment.
-
Minimal pain is experienced. Topical anesthetic is applied throughout the process so you will experience little to no pain during our appointment.
-
A perfecting touch up is exactly what it means. It is to assess the healed results and touch up your existing tattoo to achieve your desired goals, and to ensure the longevity of your tattoo. Depending on what extent pre-care and aftercare is followed, most clients have to come back for a touch up! If any mishaps happen during the healing, a touch up is done to perfect the brows or lips at a discounted rate.
Ombre POWDER Brows
-
Ombre Brows is a semi-permanent make up tattoo. It is a technique done with a machine where a needle penetrates the skin very gently to create thousands of tiny aka ‘pixels’. Layers of pixels are applied until we build up color to your desire. This usually means the tail will be the darkest and the front being the lightest, creating a beautiful fade, hence ‘Ombre Brows’.
Ombre Brow technique is suitable for all skin types.
-
No. Microblading is a row of needles attached to handtool dragged across the skin to create hair-like ‘strokes’. I do not provide microblading as a service.
-
The consultation is done the day of the appointment. Please come in ready with photos of how you fill in your brows or with your brows already filled in. Brows will be pre-drawn according to artist style, client’s facial features & preferences. I do not start tattooing until you are comfortable and love the shape!
Color is matched to your brow hairs for a most natural blend. Pigment chosen can be slightly lighter than brows to a certain extent. If it is too light and natural brow hairs are dark, it will look uncanny/unnatural. Technique can be adjusted so brows will still heal natural and light without going too ‘dark’.
*Please understand that makeup is applied over the skin whereas permanent makeup, ink is implanted into the skin.
CorrectION BROWS
-
Unfortunately I do not touch up other artist’s work. It is considered a corrective session if you are not an existing client. Every artist has different style of shaping and tattooing, understand that coming to another artist with previous work does not reflect touch up prices if your current brows are not up to standard with the next artist you are inquiring from.
If you have relocated or your artist have moved, please send photos to start a consultation, so I can quote you accordingly.
-
Unless your brows have completely faded where the previous work is undetectable, it will still be considered a corrective session.
If previous tattoo has completely faded, it will be charged as a virgin set/new set and not a touch up price as you are not an existing client.
-
There are two cases where brows are considered a corrective set/ correction brows:
1. Shape correction (asymmetry, unflattering shape etc)
2. Color Correction (tattoo has undesirable hues of blue, gray, purple or red)
Most brows have either or both of these cases. Your skin is no longer a blank canvas for your artist to work on (virgin skin) and what clients believe is ‘good’ may not be up to standard with the artist you are inquiring from.
Lip Blush
-
Lip Blush is a semi-permanent lip tattoo that lasts 2-3 years. It is meant to enhance your natural lip color, even out any uneven lip tones and define your lip borders. If you have a lot of melanin / hyperpigmentation on your lips please refer to Lip Neutralization instead.
-
If pre-care is followed, minimal pain should be experienced. Topical numbing creams and gels are applied during the procedure to control pain and swelling.
-
Swelling is a normal bodily response to this service. Everyone experiences a different degree of swelling, from mild swelling to looking like having lip filler. This is temporary and will subside in 1-2 days.
-
Lip borders can be extended to make lips appear fuller. This can be done to an extent. If ink is implanted past the lips, ink will heal more vibrant and fade at a different rate. It will not deliver the same results as over lining your lips with makeup.
-
Lip Neutralization is a treatment that aims to even out uneven lip tones as well as brighten naturally dark lips. Examples of uneven lip tones: lips with dark borders, top & bottom lips are different colors or naturally cool or dark lips.
Each session is spread out at least 8-10 weeks apart, and it may take 1-3 sessions to achieve your desired results. In special cases, additional sessions may be needed.

For lip blush: I custom mix colors to achieve your natural MLBB shade. Lip blush should bring out the color in your face and harmonize your features. You can bring a lip color you love so I can identify what undertones will go best with your complexion. I do not color match to any lipstick so that there is always some leeway with adjusting the shade of your lips in the future.
For lip neutralization: I color match to the center of the lips as that is the true and intended color of your lips. Lip neutralization aims to expand that color to the rest of the lips that have pigmentation. I find it to be the most flattering on every individual. This can take up to 2 sessions depending on severity of pigmentation. Once neutralization is done and you wish to alter your lips to your desired shade we can proceed only once neutralization is done.
